Widow Jane – Oak & Apple Wood Aged Rye Whiskey (70cl, 45%)

This is a rye whiskey from Widow Jane, aged with both oak and fresh-cut applewood staves. It starts from the same base as the distillery's American Oak Rye and widens the flavour profile. The applewood gives a softer, fruitier rye than the traditional style. It is bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. The nose is apple blossom, applewood smoke and spice. On the palate come baked apple and orange peel, and the finish carries rye, dried apple and blood orange.
