A twelve-year-old Kentucky rye from Willett, distilled in 2012 and bottled as a single barrel. Its mash bill is 74 per cent rye, 11 per cent corn and 15 per cent malted barley.
Willett uses grain chosen from local Kentucky farms and matures its whiskey entirely on site in new American oak.
The aroma and flavour are described as full of relief, moving from exotic tones to chocolate, tar and balsamic notes, and on to jammy, rich ones.
