Willett 4 Year Old Family Reserve is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey from Willett Distillery. It is aged for four years in new charred white oak barrels and bottled at cask strength, 56%.
The nose layers brandied cherry over a tart cherry note and opens with time to cinnamon and baking spices, with a touch of oak. The palate is robust and weighty, with dark cherry, burnt vanilla and plenty of spice. The finish is long, with the spices dominating while the cherry pushes through.
