Willett Family Estate 4 Year Old is a rye whiskey from the Willett family, whose involvement in whiskey goes back to shortly after the Civil War. The modern business was founded in 1936 by Thompson and Johnny Willett on the family farm in Kentucky.
The nose shows layers of brandied cherry over tart cherry, opening with time to cinnamon and baking spices and a hint of oak. The palate is robust, with dark cherry, burnt vanilla and spice, and a weighty mouthfeel.
