A six-year-old single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Willett Distillery in Bardstown, bottled from barrel #3185 at a cask strength of 64.1% ABV (128.2 proof). It is non-chill filtered, and the handwritten Willett label gives the age, barrel number and proof.
At this age the character is grain-forward and lively rather than driven by oak.
The nose combines fresh grain, young oak, caramel, bright citrus and vanilla. The palate is sweet corn, toasted sugar, rye pepper and baking spice. The finish is medium to long, with barrel warmth, spice and lingering sweetness.
