Willett Kentucky Vintage is a Kentucky bourbon bottled at 45% (90 proof) in a 70cl bottle.
It is a blend of casks chosen to meet a particular mash-bill and flavour profile. The approach takes its cue from the French method of blending cognacs, aiming for a whiskey more developed than the sum of its parts.
The Willett Distillery was founded in 1936 by Thompson Willett on the family farm, and it uses pot stills rather than the column stills usual in the United States.
