This is a Kentucky straight wheated bourbon from Willett Distillery in Bardstown, bottled at natural barrel proof of around 60% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is the first cask strength release in Willett's Pot Still line.
The spirit is distilled from 65% corn, 20% wheat and 15% malted barley, then matured for roughly four to six years in new charred American oak. No water is added and it is not chill filtered. It is released twice a year, and each batch has its own strength printed on the label.
The nose is dark caramel and toasted oak with vanilla bean, cinnamon and fresh mint. The palate is rich with caramel and honey, and the finish is long and warming, with oak, vanilla and a thread of mint.
