Wire Works Small Batch 2 Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 47.7%)

Wire Works Small Batch 2 is a lightly peated single malt from White Peak Distillery in Derbyshire, bottled at 47.7%. It is natural colour and non-chill filtered. It was matured in first-fill bourbon and STR casks, chosen from the upper storage area of the distillery, where warmer temperatures give greater variation in wood flavour. The nose is tart green apple, creamy vanilla and toffee, with a touch of cinnamon and black pepper. The palate is rich and nutty, with malt, orange peel, custard, burnt toffee and a delicate bonfire smoke. The finish brings butterscotch, sandalwood and coffee.
