American oak STR cask
A single cask English single malt from White Peak Distillery in Derbyshire, released under the Wire Works name. It is bottled at 62.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with 312 bottles from cask 18-124. The spirit is the distillery's lightly peated house style, filled in 2018 into an American oak STR cask and matured since in a warehouse on the banks of the River Derwent. It is only the second full-strength single cask bottling from Wire Works. Dark toffee, candied ginger and sultanas lead the nose, followed by smoky cereal, white pepper and liquorice on the palate. The finish brings apple pie, fizzy sweets, leather and a wisp of smoke.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
