Wolfburn – Kylver Series III (50%)

This is the third release in Wolfburn's Kylver series, a limited-edition Highland single malt bottled at 50%. The series is named after the Kylver stone, and this edition features the runic symbol Thurs, which roughly translates as thorn or giant. It was matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks. The nose is described as vanilla, angelica root, waxy fruit and charred oak. On the palate come crunchy brown sugar, fried banana and oily walnut, with a hint of smoke.
