Wolfburn – Northland (70cl, 46%)

Wolfburn Northland is a single malt from Wolfburn, the most northerly mainland distillery in Scotland. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colour. The character is coastal with a light touch of smoke. The nose has sweet overripe fruit and sea air, with fine citrus, a smouldering peat fire and soft oatmeal. On the palate come sweet grapes, nutty honey, iris, and chocolate-covered dried fruit, with a little peat. The finish is soft, pleasantly sweet and of medium length.
