Wolfburn – Small Batch Release No. 155 (70cl, 46%)

A Highland single malt from Wolfburn, Small Batch Release No. 155 is the distillery's fourth small-batch bottling, with 5300 bottles in total, in a 70cl bottle at 46%. It is the first Wolfburn matured in one type of cask and finished in another: close to five years in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, then six months in port hogsheads. The port influence gives a rich colour and a depth of sweet flavours. As with earlier small batches, the name comes from the warehouse where the casks matured (Warehouse 1) and their row (row 55).
