This is an 8 year old Wolfburn single malt, distilled in 2016 and bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It was an exclusive bottling for the German market, with 1,250 bottles filled.
The whisky spent its 8 years in a fresh bourbon cask, then a further 6 months in fresh Sauternes casks to finish.
The nose is very intense, with banana, honey, milk chocolate and ripe peach. The palate is sweet and fruity, with cherry, banana, apricot and passion fruit. In the finish the banana carries on, joined by white grapes with hints of sage and aniseed.
