This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Woodford Reserve, from the 2018 production year and bottled in bond at 100 proof (50% ABV). It comes in a 37.5cl bottle.
Bottled in Bond status means a single distillery and a single distilling season, with a minimum of four years in a bonded warehouse. The whisky is triple distilled in pot stills and matured in new charred American oak. At 100 proof it is stronger than the standard 90.4 proof Woodford Reserve.
The nose offers caramel, vanilla, rye spice and toasted oak. On the palate come rich caramel, cinnamon, charred oak and brown sugar, with a warm, medium-long finish of rye spice and oak.
