Woodford Reserve Barrel Strength Rye Whiskey 2025 Release (75cl, 62.5%)

Woodford Reserve Barrel Strength Rye is the first cask strength expression of the distillery's rye, bottled without dilution at 62.55% ABV (125.1 proof) in a 750ml bottle. This is the 2025 release. The mash bill is 53% rye, 33% corn and 14% malted barley. It is distilled in triple copper pot stills at the Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles, Kentucky, rather than the column stills used for most Kentucky straight rye. The nose offers pepper, clove, nutmeg, toasted oak and vanilla with orange oils, plus rye bread and tobacco leaf. The palate is juicy orange and baking spice with leather, dark caramel and an oily texture. The finish is long and warming, with dry oak, rye spice and cinnamon heat.
