Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is a twice-barrelled bourbon. It is matured in two separate charred oak barrels, and the second barrel is deeply toasted before a light charring, which brings out additional soft, sweet oak character.
The nose is rich with dark fruit, caramel, sharp honey, chocolate, marzipan and toasted oak. The palate is full-bodied, with vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple, fruit and spices. The finish is long and creamy, with lingering hints of honeyed apple.
