Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is a Kentucky straight bourbon in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43.2%. It is first matured in charred oak barrels, as with the classic Woodford Reserve, then finished in a second barrel of new, heavily toasted and lightly charred oak. The colour is deep amber.
The nose is rich with dark fruit, caramel, sharp honey, chocolate, marzipan and toasted oak. The palate is full-bodied, with vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple, fruit and spices. The finish is long and creamy, with lingering honeyed apple.
