Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Barrel Proof is a single-barrel Kentucky bourbon from Woodford County, bottled at 45.2% in a 750ml bottle. It is non-chill filtered and has no water added.
The bourbon first ages in new charred oak barrels, then moves into a second set of barrels toasted for 40 minutes with only a 5-second char. The mashbill is 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley.
The nose is toasted oak and vanilla with dark brown sugar and baking spice. The palate is full-bodied, with caramel, cocoa, dark toffee and cinnamon-clove spice. The finish is long and warming, with baking spice and a little char bitterness.
