Woodford Reserve – Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (70cl, 43.2%)

Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon is bottled at 43.2% in a 70cl bottle. Bourbon making began in 1812 on the site of the Woodford Reserve Distillery, a National Historic Landmark. The flavour is described as made up of more than 200 detectable notes, from grain and wood to spice, fruit and floral tones. The nose is rich dried fruit, mint and oranges dusted with cocoa, with faint vanilla and tobacco spice. The palate is rich, chewy and smooth, with citrus, cinnamon, cocoa, toffee, caramel and chocolate. The finish is silky and almost creamy at first, with a long, warm tail.
