Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey is a Kentucky whiskey made with wheat as its main grain, in a 70cl bottle at 45.2% ABV. The mash bill is 52% wheat, with 20% malt, 20% corn and 8% rye, and the distillery describes the character as delicate, sweet and fruity.
The colour is deep amber. The nose brings cinnamon and cedar with cooked apple, pear and banana, over a floral note, vanilla bean and brown sugar. On the palate, spicy applesauce and toasted coconut sit alongside earthy mint and cocoa nib. The finish is dry, with cocoa nib and lingering apple peel.
