This is a Kentucky straight malt whiskey from Woodford Reserve, bottled at 45.2% ABV (90.4 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It became a permanent part of the Woodford range in 2018, as its fourth core expression.
The mash bill is 51% malted barley, 47% corn and 2% rye, and the whiskey is aged in new charred oak barrels, as the distillery's bourbons are.
The nose offers soft nuts, light caramel, milk chocolate, apple and tropical fruit. The palate brings stone fruit, ripe banana, caramel-coated nuts, baking chocolate and toffee. The finish is warm and medium in length, with dark chocolate, cocoa and a subtle herbal note.
