This is a 10-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon from World Whiskey Society, bottled at 52% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is a limited-edition collaboration with Ducks Unlimited, the North American wetlands and waterfowl conservation organisation.
The bourbon spent its ten years in new charred American oak barrels, and the Kentucky distillery behind it is not named.
The nose is led by sarsaparilla, vanilla bean and orange peel. On the palate come sweet smoke, dark chocolate, espresso, hickory, dates, liquorice and black cherry. The finish is medium to long and warming, with orange, clove and a trace of dark cocoa.
