Writers' Tears Cask Strength 2022 (54.6%)

This is the 2022 release of Writers' Tears Cask Strength, a triple distilled Irish whiskey from Walsh Whiskey that blends single pot still and single malt in roughly 70 to 30 proportions. It was matured in American oak casks and bottled at 54.6% in an outturn of 5820 individually numbered bottles. The nose is peppery, with ginger and cream caramel. The palate brings a touch of toasted oak, digestive biscuit and sweet vanilla, with dark chocolate emerging, and it moves into a lively finish.
