Writers' Tears Double Oak is an Irish whiskey matured in both American and French oak barrels, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV.
The two oaks add depth and a soft sweetness, with fruit, vanilla and oak in balance. Tasting notes describe soft vanilla and honey, ripe pear, apple and light spices, with a subtle toast from the oak. The finish is round and warm, with a hint of caramel.
