Writers' Tears Double Oak is an Irish whiskey blending Single Pot Still and Single Malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The blend is triple-distilled and non-chill filtered. It is aged in two kinds of wood: American oak bourbon barrels from Kentucky and French oak Cognac casks from the Cognac region. It comes from a collaboration between the Walsh family in County Carlow, Ireland, and the Legaret family in Cognac, France. Citrus zest and chocolate undertones are followed by lingering spice.
