Writers' Tears Double Oak

Writers' Tears Double Oak is an Irish whiskey that blends single malt with single pot still. It is made from 100% barley, triple distilled and non-chill-filtered. It is matured in two kinds of oak: ex-bourbon casks from Kentucky and ex-cognac casks from France. The cognac casks come from Deau Cognac and the Legaret family, following an earlier collaboration with them. Sweet vanilla, cinnamon, plum and poached pear show on the nose. The palate offers pressed grapes and citrus peel, and the finish brings chocolate and lingering spices.
