Yamazaki 18 Year Old Mizunara Cask - 100th Anniversary Limited Edition (70cl, 48%)

An 18-year-old single malt from Yamazaki, released as a limited edition to mark 100 years of Suntory. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle, with a 100th Anniversary design. The whisky was matured exclusively in hand-selected Mizunara casks. Mizunara is a Japanese oak, and the distillery is described as Japan's oldest malt distillery. The nose shows sandalwood, dark fruit, coconut and honeyed oak. The palate is silky and full-bodied, with dried fruit, baking spice and hints of incense and smoke. The finish is long and lingering.
