This is an 18-year-old single malt from the Yamazaki Distillery in Osaka Prefecture, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It forms part of Suntory's 2024 Tsukuriwake Selection and is a limited edition.
The whisky was matured in Mizunara Japanese oak casks, a native wood that gives a character different from that of American or European oak.
The aromas and flavours associated with mature Mizunara are sandalwood, incense, coconut and exotic spices, along with refined fruit notes.
