The 2021 edition of Yamazaki's annual limited release, a Japanese single malt from Suntory's Yamazaki distillery. It returned after a four-year break, the previous release having been in 2017.
It is a blend of single malts aged for at least 12 years, matured entirely in virgin mizunara casks made specially for Suntory. Earlier editions were made mostly from whiskies under five years old.
The bottle comes in a case with the distillery's kanji burnt into the wood, and the label is made from washi paper from Echizen.
