This is Yamazaki 25 Year Old, a Japanese single malt from the country's first malt whisky distillery. It is an earlier edition, released before the 2021 packaging redesign.
The whisky was matured for at least twenty-five years in a mix of American oak, Spanish oak and Japanese Mizunara casks. Together they give layers of rich fruit, dark chocolate and warming spice, along with the incense-like aromas associated with Mizunara oak.
