Yamazaki – 25 Year Old Single Malt Japanese Whisky (70cl, 40%)

A 25 year old single malt from the Yamazaki distillery in Japan, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Its colour is mahogany, and it is described as deep and complex, with dried fruit and a succulent softer fruit character. The nose brings dried cherry, currant, tomato puree, balsamic and walnut. On the palate come marmalade, coffee, cocoa and almond, and the finish is profound with a hint of acidity.
