This is the 2016 Sherry Cask edition from Yamazaki, a sherried single malt Japanese whisky bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Only 5,000 bottles were released worldwide.
The nose is deep, rich and sweet and sour, with chocolate and hazelnuts. The palate is long, bittersweet and sour, and the finish is deep and mellow, with a complexity of flavours.
