This is a special labelling of Suntory Gold, made to commemorate the 1972 Sapporo Winter Olympic Games. It comes in a 72cl bottle at 43% ABV. Bottles like this would have been made with malt and grain whisky distilled at Yamazaki distillery. Suntory began in 1899 as a wine store in Osaka, founded by Shinjiro Torii, and was renamed Kotobukiya in 1921. It built Yamazaki, its first distillery, three years later.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
