Yamazakura Cherry-Ex is a Japanese blended whisky from Sasanokawa Shuzo, bottled at 40% in a 50cl bottle. The blend includes some aged pot still distillate. The Cherry brand is among the company's earliest blended releases, dating from after it obtained a licence to produce whisky in 1946.
It is light straw gold in colour and is suggested as an everyday dram in a highball.
The nose is very subtle, followed by a gentle sweetness and a light mouthfeel, and a simple finish.
