Yamazakura Fine Blended Whisky Black Label (70cl, 40%)

Yamazakura Fine Blended Whisky Black Label was introduced in 2015 by Sasanokawa Shuzo. It combines four malt and grain whiskies matured in bourbon casks. The blend draws on imported whisky components together with spirit from the company's own Asaka Distillery in Koriyama, Fukushima, and is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The nose is soft and delicate, with elderflower, malt, caramel and a fine touch of iodine. The palate is light and silky, with pear, cereal, vanilla and citrus. The finish is round and smooth, with iodine, vanilla and cereal lingering.
