Yellow Rose Outlaw is a bourbon from Yellow Rose Distilling in Houston, Texas, a distillery founded in 2012 and named after the woman who helped Sam Houston win independence for Texas. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
Texan corn forms the base of the mash, and the whiskey is aged in charred oak barrels.
The nose is corn with caramel and vanilla. The palate is rich and smooth, with caramel, vanilla, a touch of oak and a prominent corn sweetness. The finish is long and clean, with lingering sweetness and a subtle oak note.
