Yellow Rose Straight Rye (75cl, 45%)

Yellow Rose Straight Rye is a straight rye whisky from Houston, Texas, made from a mash bill of 95% rye and distilled in limited batches. It is bottled at 45% in a 75cl bottle. The Texas heat makes the spirit expand and contract within the oak barrels, which draws out vanilla and caramel. The peppery bite of the rye is set against a sweet, honeyed finish. The nose is earthy and aromatic, with fresh mint, black pepper, caramel and toasted oak. On the palate, spicy rye and cinnamon are softened by brown sugar, vanilla cream and a hint of dark fruit. The finish is medium to long and warming, with lingering sweet spice.
