Yellow Spot 12 Year Old is an Irish single pot still whiskey distilled at Midleton and bottled by Mitchell & Son at 43% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered.
It has matured for at least 12 years in a combination of bourbon casks, sherry butts and Malaga wine casks.
The nose shows ripe apple, peach, honey, vanilla and soft spices. The palate is full and creamy, with stone fruit, candied orange, caramel, nutmeg and a subtle vinous sweetness from the Malaga casks. The finish is long, warm and elegant, balancing fruit, spice and wood.
