Yellow Spot 23 Year Old 1999 Malaga Wine Finish

Yellow Spot 23 is an Irish single cask whiskey from Midleton, finished in Malaga wine casks and bottled at cask strength. On the nose, vanilla toffee sits under layers of apricot, pear, white peach, sultanas, raisins and fresh orange zest, with resinous pine, cinnamon, brown sugar and fruitcake developing alongside. Darker stewed berries sit in the background. The palate is rich and sweet, with brown sugar and spice followed by dried fruit, roasted peaches and fruitcake spread with berry jelly. Spicy oak frames it.
