Yellowstone Select (70cl, 46.5%)

Yellowstone Select is a Kentucky straight bourbon that marries four- and seven-year-old bourbons, bottled at 46.5% (93 proof) in a 70cl bottle. It comes from Limestone Branch Distillery in Lebanon, Kentucky, which Stephen and Paul Beam founded in 2010; the distillery opened in 2011. Stephen Beam introduced Yellowstone Select in 2015 as his reworking of a historic family brand, whose history goes back to 1872. The blend builds on caramel, brown sugar and cherry, while leaving room for rye spice, smoke and oak. Expect spicy rye, soft cherry and a leathery note on the nose, smoky caramel with vanilla and honey on the palate, and a finish of smoky oak, brown sugar and rye spice.
