Winter Warrior is a Junmai Ginjo sake from Yoshinogawa in Niigata, Japan. The name honours the kurabito, the brewery workers who craft sake through the depth of winter snows. It is made with Gohyakumangoku rice polished to 60% and fermented with No. 18 yeast, and it is not a typical Niigata style. It is a fuller, easy-sipping sake that suits food. The aromas are lush and fruity, and the palate carries complex tropical and floral tones. It can be served in a traditional o-chokko, a wine glass or a rocks glass.
