A double-distilled Serbian plum brandy from Destilerija Zarić in Kosjerić, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made from three plum varieties, Trnovaca, Požegača and Crvena Ranka, grown on the hillsides around the town.
The spirit is distilled in copper pot stills, and only fully ripe fruit is used.
The nose shows ripe damson plum with stone-fruit kernel, a little almond and dried orchard fruit. The palate opens with concentrated plum sweetness and a medium-bodied, slightly oily texture, with dried fruit, gentle nuttiness and fresh acidity. The finish is of medium length, with plum skin bitterness, a warm peppery fade and a dry close.
