This is a 12-year-old Highland single malt from Aberfeldy, finished in Madeira casks, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. It is chill-filtered and has added colour.
The finish adds dried fruit, caramel sweetness and a spicy, slightly nutty depth to the distillery's soft, honeyed character.
The nose brings apricot, apple and pear with golden syrup, creamy honey, raisins and nuts. On the palate, honey and dark berries meet toffee, milk chocolate, ginger, orange peel and caramel. The finish combines oak spice, dark caramel, clove, apple, honey and dried fruit, with a faint earthy note.
