This is a 16 year old single malt from Aberfeldy, bottled at 40% in a one litre bottle. After 16 years in oak casks, it is finished in first fill Oloroso sherry casks, which bring a subtle fruitiness and a rounder feel to the whisky.
The nose offers honey, citrus and spicy cloves. On the palate it is sherried and full, like fruitcake, with touches of rich dark chocolate, and the finish is soothing and coats the mouth.
