Batch 8 of Aberlour a'bunadh Alba, a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle. The a'bunadh name is Gaelic for the original. Unlike the sherry-matured a'bunadh, Alba is matured only in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. Batch 8 is bottled at natural cask strength and is not chill-filtered. The nose offers vanilla pod, honeyed malt, orchard fruit, citrus zest and toasted oak. The palate is rich and creamy, with sweet vanilla, butterscotch, baked apple and gentle spice. The finish is long and warming, with lingering sweetness and a touch of dry oak.
