Aberlour Casg Annamh is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 48% ABV. It is the first release in the Casg Annamh series, and the name is Gaelic for rare cask.
The whisky is matured in three types of cask: European oak sherry casks and two kinds of American oak cask. Its colour is a warm red gold.
The nose has citrus, cherry and raisin with a little ginger. On the palate, sweet apple and cinnamon meet ripe peach, spicy liquorice and clove. The finish is long and rich, fruity and ending on a gentle spice.
