Akashi Blue Label is a blended Japanese whisky, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky spends two years in American white oak casks that previously held shochu, then moves to sherry casks and bourbon casks for added complexity. On the nose it shows orange peel, honey, white pepper and spice. The palate is peppery, with citrus, cinnamon and hints of smoke, and it ends in a long finish that is both spicy and sweet.
