A single cask Amrut from India, distilled in February 2022 and bottled in July 2026 after four years in an ex-bourbon cask. Cask 11355 was chosen by La Maison du Whisky for its Collection Les Anthologistes, and it yielded 174 bottles at a cask strength of 60%, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The spirit is made from six-row Indian barley grown and malted in Rajasthan.
The nose is fresh and smooth, with vanilla, pear, mirabelle, malt, lemon and acacia honey, and chocolate, liquorice and saffron emerge with air. On the palate come banana, pineapple, yellow kiwi, sage and pepper, then hay, clover and coconut milk. The finish is long, with tropical fruit, soft chocolate, mint and lime.
