A single cask Amrut from Bengaluru in southern India, made from peated Scottish malt and matured for four years in a bourbon cask. The cask was filled in June 2022 and the whisky bottled in July 2026 at a cask strength of 60%, without chill-filtering or added colour. The edition runs to 180 bottles.
La Maison du Whisky chose cask 11687 exclusively for Les Anthologistes, part of the Anthology collection.
The nose combines peat, chocolate and malt with soft liquorice, then orange, banana and mango. On the palate come ginger, gentian and earthy, salty notes with mango and persimmon. The finish is medicinal and spicy, ending in strong smoke, soot and game.
