Amrut – 6 Year Old 2015/2021 Ex-Madeira Peated Cask #4711 (60%)

This is a peated Indian single malt from Amrut, distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2021 at 60%. It was made from small-grained Himalayan-foothill barley, mountain spring water and Scottish peated malt. The whisky matured in cask #4711, which previously held Madeira, in Bangalore, high above sea level. In the tropical conditions the spirit worked on the wood roughly 3.5 times faster than it would in Scotland. The edition was filled into just 200 bottles.
